Parties and Lovely Porcelain Dishes

I think winter is bringing out the NEED in me to party. I’m CRAVING throwing a party right now. I’m anxiously awaiting a baby shower I’m helping to throw one of my sweet friends soon. Also, I’m really excited for Valentine’s Day and am hoping to throw my kids a little V-day bash (just something small and sweet, but very fun!). My daughter’s birthday is coming in March and we’re going to throw her a Fancy Nancy Party (she LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Fancy Nancy and is SOOOOO excited).

Needless to say, there are parties on the horizon, but they’re just not here soon enough! So, today I found such a fun little Etsy shop, Lynn Wood Porcelain. This creative chick makes porcelain dishes that are in the most luscious colors! I want to buy them and throw a party right away! Aren’t all of these pieces so bright and cheery?!  You could use the serving platter for something fun and fancy, like wraps or bruschetta, and set small treats on the little plates, like miniature cookies or chocolate truffles, and then throw some bright flowers in the bud vase as the centerpiece.  Ahhhh… going to spend the rest of my day dreaming about throwing a party…

Are you guys dreaming of parties and vacations, too?  Generally I love winter and feel most alive and vibrant during it, but this year has been a struggle to not get the winter blues.  How are you holding up?  Do we need to have a party to banish our blues together?
